Students should provide the quote from the text, page numbers, type of figurative language used, meaning, and why the author included it. S.T.E.A.M. Activities: The S.T.E.A.M.-based activities in this product concentrate on the subjects of math, science, engineering, and the arts. Students will also plot fractal spirals, write a fictional story to describe a natural occurrence, and make an artistic cube with pictures of natural objects that follow the Fibonacci number sequence. They will design and build a mock levee, a hurricane-resistant building, and an anemometer to gauge wind speeds.
